Businesses investments have grown since the second quarter of 2009, it has been revealed.
There has been an increase in the number of
equity investments since 2009, according to latest figures.
Earlier this week, the Office for National Statistics revealed its Business Investment Provisional results for the second quarter of 2010.
It showed that during the three months, there was a 1.9 per cent growth in the number of business investments compared with the same period in 2009.
However, it also revealed that
equity fund investments had fallen by 1.6 per cent from the first quarter of 2010 to total £28,656 million at the end of June.
An area that performed well was manufacturing which saw a rise of 9.6 per cent in investments during the second quarter of the year.
Gold was also recommended as a sector to put money into after the World Gold Council's Gold Demand Trends report for Q2 2010 predicted that the market will remain "robust" throughout the rest of the year.
